We are lucky that Llanrhidian and the surrounding villages have a really strong sense of community. We are also aware that this cannot be taken for granted and we rely on villagers’ generosity in giving of their time and working hard to make our village a great one to live in.
The major event of every summer for Llanrhidian is the Fayre which this year was held on Saturday 18th July and the Welcome is enthusiastically threw itself into the spirit of the event. We are turned our (new and much bigger) car park into the children’s area: there was a bouncy castle, face painting, stalls, a puppet show and many other attractions. The main fayre was on the village green with lots fun things for “grown ups” to do as well; it was fantastic day. As well as hosting the children’s area we were absolutely thrilled to sponsor the Samba Band and wiggled our hips with the best of them!
The Llanrhidian Players
The Llanrhidian Players are an important part of the life of the village and The Welcome was proud to be the headline sponsor for their latest production of Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach at the end of June
